MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Three people suffered minor injuries when a single-engine plane crashed during takeoff at the Dane County Regional Airport.
The three were taken to a local hospital as a precaution. Airport officials tell WKOW-TV the small privately-owned plane deviated from the runway during takeoff and crashed Friday morning. Two small fires broke out on the runway after the crash, but were quickly extinguished by firefighters.
