University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Chancellor Nancy Zimpher is the only finalist being put forth by a 13-member search committee. She would replace retiring President Joseph Steger.
UC's next president is going to have to deal with difficult funding decisions.
Tuition is going up nearly ten percent in the fall, the third-highest increase since 1979.
If approved, Zimpher would be the first woman to lead the University of Cincinnati.
The school is Ohio's second-largest university with 33,000 students and one of Cincinnati's largest employers with more than 14,000 workers.
