The Village of Weston has purchased an aerial fire truck and now they're asking the city of Wausau to share the costs of the purchase. The truck costs more than $500,00 and officials say it's a necessity.
Monday night two Wausau committees approved the proposal, but it still needs the approval of the full council, which could happen Tuesday night. In the meantime, Weston will continue to offer their services and equipment for free to area fire departments, no matter who owns it.
