The issue at hand is how discipline is implemented in schools with special education students.

Sharon Rybacki is a local representative of the Wisconsin Family Assistance Center for Education. She says the House version has no recognition of a child's disability if a child doesn't comply with school rules. She says the Senate's version of the bill takes a look at how the child's disability affects their behavior within the school district.

The Wisconsin Family Assistance Center for Education is sponsoring a conference this Saturday, October 18th. It will focus on the effects the laws have on both schools and parents.

For more information on the conference, contact Sharon Rybacki at (715) 241-8576.
