The issue at hand is how discipline is implemented in schools with special education students.
Sharon Rybacki is a local representative of the Wisconsin Family Assistance Center for Education. She says the House version has no recognition of a child's disability if a child doesn't comply with school rules. She says the Senate's version of the bill takes a look at how the child's disability affects their behavior within the school district.
The Wisconsin Family Assistance Center for Education is sponsoring a conference this Saturday, October 18th. It will focus on the effects the laws have on both schools and parents.
