Businessess on Main Street in downtown Point are under construction, such as Divepoint Scuba Center. The outdoor retail store is restoring the exteriors of the 130-year-old building.
Down the street from Divepoint Scuba Center is Bakery Point. An area that originally included a bakery. That building now includes a newly renovated yoga studio, a museum, stores, and offices.
City officials are backing the renovations, offering low interest loans and support.
The Stevens Point community will likely see the final stages of renovations in the next few months.
