It's the second time in a month the town of less than seven-thousand has been hit hard with layoffs.

Tecumseh Products announced in May that it's closing its Sheboygan Falls die-casting facility, displacing 282 employees.

Richardson Brothers announced Monday that after 155 years in Sheboygan Falls it will cease furniture manufacturing by the first of the year.

CEO Joe Richardson at the firm's parent company, Richardson Industries, says domestic producers can't compete with overseas plants.

He says companies can reduce costs 35 to 40 percent by making furniture in China.
