The governor traveled to Union Grove today to talk about what he won't veto in the Legislature's recently-passed state budget.
Doyle told those gathered at the Wisconsin Veterans Home that he won't veto $1.3 million set aside for a new veterans' nursing home.
About 60 veterans currently live at the center. The nursing home will be built on the center's property and will have 120 beds and more than 40 employees.
Doyle says 77,000 veterans over age 65 live within 50 miles of the center.
