Doyle says maintaining the stewardship fund is crucial to maintaining the state's committment to preserving it's natural resources for future generations.
The stewardship fund helps to fund many of the state's parks and trails.
Doyle says he will also veto a Republican budget proposal that would have required the DNR to sell off $40 million worth of public land.
