Thousands of Elvis fanatics are coming out in full force this weekend, to celebrate The King's birthday. He would have turned 74-years old this week, and fans in our area have found some creative ways to celebrate.

Newschannel 7 caught up with some of them at Dale's Weston Lanes for the Sixth Annual Elvis Birthday Bash.

Although he's been gone for more than 30 years, his fans have not forgotten him. Many are flocking to visit his estate in Memphis, but for those who couldn't make it down south, they didn't miss out.

Hundreds of die-hard fans came out to pay tribute to The King, where four Elvis impersonators from across the country came out to wow the crowds with his signature moves.

"The energy and electricity is still there and people just never forget, they never forgot and people keep coming to the shows," said Tony Rockler, who has been an Elvis impersonator for the past seven years.

A whole new group of younger fans came out with their families to continue the legend, like Kirsten Sebold, who brought her dagger Ally to enjoy the show. "It just makes you think of what it must have been like when Elvis was really alive, how exciting he must have been to witness this so it's just fun," said Kirsten Seabold.

Although his birthday was January 8th they still had a birthday cake to enjoy at the end of the show to remember the man who's truly become immortal.
