Wausau police are looking for specific items belonging to the 39-year-old Schofield woman who was murdered Saturday.

Investigators want the whereabouts of Robin Dunwoody's brown leather purse and pair of white shoes, known as crocs.

Dunwoody's was allegedly shot by her ex-boyfriend Saturday morning in the parking lot of Wausau Manor Nursing Home where she worked.

Walter Lassa, 54, is facing charges including first degree intentional homicide and false imprisonment.

Wausau Police Chief Jeff Hardel says the homicide is an open investigation.

"We still have a number of leads that we have to follow, pretty much our whole detective bureau is assigned various tasks," he said.

Just Tuesday, Dunwoody's family discovered an unopened letter addressed to Dunwood from Lassa in her mailbox. The content of the letter isn't being released by police right now, and is considered evidence.

Chief Hardel says though they haven't been able to verify if Lassa ever threatened Dunwoody with violence before her murder, they do know she was fearful of him.

"She really did feel some uneasiness. She did feel afraid of him even though he didn't threaten to kill her that we can substantiate at this point," he said.

Lassa is being held in Marathon County Jail on a $1 million bond.
