Woman Charged With Death of Newborn in Court
Twenty-two-year-old Kristin Scott has been charged with first-degree reckless homicide in the death of one of the babies. She's also charged with hiding a corpse. Scott has not been charged with the second death.
After Scott moved to Texas earlier this month, her parents checked belongings in her closet because they thought they smelled a dead rodent. What they found were the remains of an infant born January 14th.
The remains of a second baby born more than two years ago was found later by Scott's father.
Scott has a preliminary hearing this afternoon in Richland County Circuit Court.
