We're very grateful here at NewsChannel 7 for your generousity this holiday season. Thanks to all of our donors, we were able to raise a record-breaking $27,146 for the food pantries at the Salvation Army and The Neighbors' Place. We presented the check to Captain Brian Goodwill and Tom Rau on our newscast this evening.

We wouldn't have been able to do it without a little help. Enormous thanks go out to River Valley Bank, who matched all donations up to $5,000 and the Dudley Foundation, who matched all donations from $5,000 to $10,000.

We also had a great last minute push this holiday season. This morning Robert and Dianne Fitzke of Wausau made a $500 donation. Also today, Jerald Halverson and Marilyn Miller dropped off a $1,000 donation.

And the good news doesn't stop with the money. We received more food donations than we have ever, which will help keep food on the tables of needy families in our community year-round. Our staff loaded up a semi-truck with the donations this afternoon and they were delivered to both pantries.

Once again, big thanks to those who have helped us make the holiday brighter for families in our community.
Seasons Greetings to everyone from all of us at NewsChannel 7!
