Father Joseph O' Hara doesn't use his college wrestling experience at St. Peters Church very often, but he called on his talents Saturday night when he caught four teenagers trying to break into a safe at the church.
Around 9 p.m., Father O' Hara walked into the sacristy and found four people with a crowbar. Three of the teens escaped and were later arrested, but Father O' Hara pinned down the fourth.
The teen punched O' Hara in the face when he dialed 911, and Father O' Hara still has a black eye.
O' Hara thinks the robbers were only a couple seconds away from getting into the safe with the church's gold plated vessels.
The chalices have little street value, but they are priceless to the church.
