Everest Metro Police are investigating a string of break-ins involving close to 1,000 cars in Marathon County.
Police say they are looking at five juveniles who may have been involved over the last three years.
The juveniles are targeting unlocked cars, including cars with windows down. They are taking items such as CD's, stereos, cell phones, whatever they can get their hands on, police say.
No one has officially been charged in the break-ins at this time. Police continue to investigate.
