MARSHFIELD, Wis. (AP) -- A man accused of attacking another man four years ago and biting off part of his ear could face up to 42 years in prison when sentenced for mayhem.
A jury in Wood County Circuit Court this week found 26-year-old Christopher Strupp guilty of mayhem but not guilty of stalking. Sentencing is Jan. 30.
Strupp, formerly of Hancock, originally pleaded guilty to mayhem in 2005 and had two charges dismissed. He tried to withdraw the plea, but the judge wouldn't allow it. An appeals court later reversed that decision.
The criminal complaint said Strupp tried to date a woman in 2004, but she didn't want a romantic relationship. When he saw her in a Wisconsin Rapids parking lot with another man, he broke their car window, beat the man, bit off part of his ear and bit his lower lip.

Gee, I wonder why she didn't want a romantic relationship with this guy. At least she wasn't paying him lip service. By the way, is mayhem more serious than chaos? And is bedlam when there's more than one person doing the attacking? Seriously, just how many of these deranged people are out there? You just never know when these psychotic losers are on the loose. When this guy is up for parole, can we have him fixed?
