Heart Disease Deaths Down

A lot less people are dying from heart disease in Wisconsin. In the last 20 years the number of deaths declined 52 percent. Cardiologists say early detection, better medication and awareness are the reasons why.

Although the statistics are promising, some doctors say work still needs to be done. They say the best way to prevent heart disease is with more exercise and a balanced diet.

Right now heart disease remains the number one killer in the country for both men and women.
