A local trucking company is driving off with one of the highest honors in safety this year. Marshfield-based Roehl Transport Company won the President's Award for Safety Performance with the American Trucking Association.
It's the first time Roehl has won the high honor of the President's Award. "It applies to most every trucking company or truck that you see out on the road. Most of those belong to the American Trucking Association," says Roehl Transport President Greg Koepel. He says the company's trucks travel more than 100 million highway miles every year.
The company employs 2,400 workers and has been open for 47 years.
