It’s unknown what condition a 20-year-old Wood County man is in tonight following an early morning crash.

Authorities say around 3:30 a.m. Saturday a Wisconsin Rapids man was driving on Washington Street in Grand Rapids when he hit a deer.

According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, Travis Plowman then lost control of his vehicle, went into a ditch and his vehicle flipped.

Authorities say Plowman wasn’t able to talk to staff at the scene, but was alert and speaking with hospital personnel after being transported.
