MILWAUKEE (AP) -- A judge has ordered jail time for two Chicago Cubs fans who admitted breaking the jaw of a Milwaukee Brewers fan in a post-game confrontation outside Miller Park in July.
Adam Miechle (MEE'-chall) and Jerry Emert, both of Downers Grove, Illinois, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery. Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Richard Sankovitz sentenced the 25-year-old Miechle yesterday to 90 days in the House of Correction and the 26-year-old Emert to 45 days.
The two claimed they were provoked by the victim, Brandon Feezor of West Allis, because he threw a drink can at their bus during the exchange.
Feezor suffered serious facial injuries and a lost tooth. He was cited by police for disorderly conduct.
