Arrests Down at Rowdy Madison Halloween Party
Police say most of the arrests at Freakfest were for relatively minor offenses.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Police in Madison are pleased that arrests at this year's Freakfest are down from last year's bash.
As of 2:45 a.m. Sunday, the total number of arrests was 77.
Police say most of the arrests were for relatively minor offenses.
More than 38,300 people bought tickets for this year's Halloween event, compared with 34,000 attendees in 2007.
Madison officials started Freakfest two years ago after Halloween festivities on State Street downtown got out of hand. The city charges admission and provides live entertainment. This year's headliner was O.A.R.
Students gave mixed reviews to this year's party.
