Efforts to restore a steam train in Stevens Point are being set back, as the chairman of the group trying to restore the train says it was vandalized again.
He says Soo Line Locomotive 2713 was damaged two weeks ago when vandals threw rocks through the windows, kicked in the doors, and damaged the passenger area.
The chairman of the group "Friends of 2713" says they've spent $500 and more than 40 hours to fix the damage.
The train was built in 1911 and served the Stevens Point area until 1955, when it was retired and taken to it's current display off of Church Street.
The chairman says the train has been damaged 3 times in the past 2 years.

Clearly that was stock video. As far as I Know the cab of the locomotive was broken into. Calling that a passenger area is a little strange, but many people would not know what a cab is.
Hello, Maybe you have your stories mixed up? The railway car in the photograph is a caboose, and NOT a locomotive! This railway car, needs a locomotive to pull the car, to make it move, as the car cnnot operate on ots own,and was almost always the last car on a train. Passengers are NOT permitted to ride in this railway car. This railway car, was the administrative "office" for the train, and was "run" by the train manager, the conductor. To-day, the conductor and his "office" are located on the left side, in the cab of a locomotive.
