MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is endorsing Democrat Barack Obama for president, calling him the candidate with the vision and potential to lead a nation with a teetering economy, a "health care morass" and involvement in two foreign wars.
The newspaper gives its selection in an editorial on its Web page for tomorrow's edition.
It says that the Bush administration has bumbled from crisis to crisis for nearly eight years, and the nation needs "resuscitating change like a new baby needs that first breath of air."
It adds that Obama is more believable to get the job done.
The newspaper criticizes Republican John McCain for his selection of Sarah Palin as running mate and says that Obama's choice, Joe Biden, has the "foreign policy credentials to serve in the event of tragedy, not just a running mate to score political points."
