MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- The Internal Revenue Service says about 3,500 Wisconsin residents haven't received their stimulus or tax-refund checks because the IRS doesn't have their correct address.
IRS spokesman Christopher Miller says checks that total about $2 million came back as undeliverable.
He says the average stimulus payment is $527 and the average tax refund is about $750.
People who think they should have received their money by now can call the IRS or visit its Web site to make sure their addresses are current.
Taxpayers expecting stimulus checks have to provide their correct information by Nov. 28 because the checks have to be mailed by Dec. 31.
The phone numbers are 1-866-234-2942 for stimulus checks and 1-800-829-1954 for tax refunds.
