Just after school let out Wednesday afternoon, Wisconsin Rapids police got a call that a student had been hit by a bus at the East Junior High School.
Police say the boy fell in front of the bus and was run over.
The boy was taken to Riverview Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The bus driver is appropriately licensed and has a clear driving record.
Police are still investigating the accident.
