An assistant track coach from Marshfield High School will not face criminal charges. He was arrested at the state track meet in Lacrosse last weekend after police say he wandered into the dorm room of some female athletes.

Officers say Len Luedke, Jr. had six beers at a Lacrosse tavern, returned to his dorm, then went to bed, but around 3:30 a.m. he used the bathroom, then wandered into the unlocked dorm room of two girls from a different high school.

He reportedly crawled into bed with one of them. The girls went to their coaches' room who ended up confronting Luedke, but the next day Luedke says he couldn't remember what happened.

The Marshfield News Herald reports the girl who Luedke climbed into the bed with told police he never touched her inappropriately, and in fact he didn't even seem drunk.

The assistant coach was arrested for disorderly conduct, but the district attorney says he won't be filing charges. The Marshfield school district superintendent says he's waiting for additional information on the incident, although he won't say from whom.

He says Luedke is still employed with the district, but won't comment beyond that because it's a personnel issue.
