The State investigated the home daycare of Chris Griesbach following a complaint that she may have been caring for double the number of kids allowed for a single daycare provider.
In incidents like this, the providers are given a short window of time to correct the problem and if they don't, they're given written orders to comply. Griesbach has two weeks to cut back on the number of children at her daycare.
The law applies when a paid caregiver has four or more children at any one time under the age of seven. In certified centers, there is a maximum of six children per provider. Licensed centers can handle up to eight children per provider.
