The Langlade County Sheriff's Office is investigating a late night rollover that killed three men and left their SUV overturned in a creek.
The accident happened around 9:05 PM Friday. Langlade County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a vehicle rollover possibly in the water on Pickerel Lake Road in Northern Langlade County near the Forest County Line. When Deputies arrived they discovered a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee overturned and partially submerged in the waters of Pickerel Creek. Deputies and EMS personnel discovered the bodies of three deceased men inside the SUV.
The driver and vehicle owner was identified as 69-year old Gerald M. Randerson of Appleton. The two passengers in the car were identified as 50-year old John P. Cohen of Combined Locks, WI and 65-year old Daniel L. Krubeck of Appleton.
The initial investigation determined the SUV was traveling westbound on Pickerel Creek Road when it entered the ditch and went down an embankment overturning and coming to rest on it's roof. The SUV broke through the ice and became submerged in the water.
The Langlade County Sheriff's Office was assisted on the scene by Pickerel EMS and the Langlade County Coroner's Office.
