ARGYLE, Wis. (AP) -- Several hundred people gathered at the local high school football field in Argyle to grieve three young lives lost in a house fire that officials say was deliberately set.
Rev. Dan Bohlman says the memorial service Wednesday night is "the first step in taking the next step" toward healing. WISC-TV reports community members used small battery-operated candles to illuminate photos of the three boys.
Seven-year-old Allen, 5-year-old Jeffery and 3-year-old Joseph Wand died in the Sept. 7 fire. Their mother, Sharon Wand, remains in the burn unit at University Hospital.
Sharon's husband, Armin Wand, and his brother, Jeremy Wand, are charged with setting the house on fire to collect on renter's and life insurance policies.
