Two people have died following an accident Monday afternoon in Shawano County.
According to a news release, a car headed west on Green Bay St. turned to go south on Airport Rd. in Shawano, when it crashed with an oncoming motorcycle.
A passenger in the car, Patricia Voight, 79, of Shawano, and the driver of the motorcycle, Gene Greene, 56, of St. Charles, Ill., were taken to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead. The driver of the car, Roger Voight, 80, of Shawano, was treated and released.
Roger Voight was given a ticket for failing to yield the right of way while making a left turn. Alcohol was not involved.
