The Central Wisconsin Airport in Mosinee was packed with friends and family of Private First Class Ross Nevienski. The 20-year-old marine is being awarded the Purple Heart after being wounded in the line of duty.
Nevienski was only overseas three months when he was shot securing a convoy in Iraq.
"I was scared when they started shooting," Nevienski said. "I think anybody would be. I think everybody there was."
The Franzan man says it's overwhelming how much support he has gotten, not only from friends and family but also from senators and other important people.
