Feingold says Wisconsin Residents Asking for Universal Health Care

Senator Russ Feingold says healthcare is still the one of the biggest concerns for people all over Wisconsin.
He met with residents in Manitowish Waters and Minoqua for a listening session Tuesday (5/30/06).
The Democrat says Wisconsin residents are asking for a universal healthcare system.
Feingold told us he plans to introduce a pilot program where some states would try a statewide healthcare program with help from the federal government.
"I don't think we're going to be able to pass something that guarantees it for all 50 states right away, but I think if two or three states say, look, it's really great and it worked well for us, it will catch on."
