MILWAUKEE (AP) -- State authorities have revoked the license of a Milwaukee daycare center whose workers apparently forgot a 23-month-old toddler after a park outing last month.
The Wisconsin Department of Children and Families said Friday it has shut down the Excellent Little Angels daycare. The daycare has 10 days to appeal.
The sheriff's department says daycare workers took 10 kids to a park in early July. When they returned to the center they realized the boy was missing.
Deputies say a woman from the daycare went back to the park to find him, then gave deputies there conflicting stories of what happened.
The woman was arrested for an unrelated outstanding warrant.
A number for the daycare was disconnected when a reporter called Saturday.
