Visitors to downtown Amherst have a new display of modern art to enjoy, all made by the "Maid of Steel".
Artist Liv Aanrud set up her own metal shop in April, and has spent the summer crafting fifty five different pieces of metal artwork, which are all on display at the Tomorrow River Art Gallery.
Aanrud says most of her metal work is done on a smaller scale, which makes her art somewhat unique.
Aanrud says, "When people think of metal sculpture, I think they think of bigger things and folk art, and even big outdoor public art, you know, big sculptures, and I like that this stuff is smaller, that people are able to have a little bit more of an intimate relationship with it."
The art show opened with a showing from 3:00 to 6:00 Saturday, and it will be on display at the gallery through September 20th.
