Police Say Man Met 14-Year-Old Via Interest Chat Site
A college student in Stevens Point is expected to face several criminal charges after he allegedly had sex with a 14-year-old girl he met through a popular Internet Web site.

A college student in Stevens Point is expected to face several criminal charges after he allegedly had sex with a 14-year-old girl he met through a popular Internet Web site.

The Wood County Sheriff's Department says the 22-year-old man, who attends the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, was arrested while he tried to visit the girl at her rural Marshfield home Sunday (April 30, 2006).

He allegedly met her via myspace.com, had sex with her last month and continued to contact her by Internet messaging.

Sheriff's officials say the man likely will face counts of second-degree sexual assault and child enticement, among other charges.
