The man charged with possessing a cache of weapons and ammunition in a Plover home is now being held on a charge of repeated sexual assault of a child.

A $5,000 cash bond was set Monday in Green Lake County for Glen Steger.

In Portage County, Steger is charged with eight felonies after authorities say they found guns, body armor, silencers and explosives at his home when they went to investigate a mail tampering charge.

For the weapons charges, Steger has been indicted in federal court in which he faces 10 years in prison.

An initial court appearance is scheduled for the end of August in Portage County.
