Matt Reichenbach's teachers noticed a change in his attitude a few weeks ago.
With two cousins in the military and an impending war, Matt couldn't sleep and was doing poorly in school.
After speaking with the guidance counselor, Matt decided to join Newschannel 7's letter writing campaign to support the troops.
He wrote a letter, asking all the Edgar students and teachers to write letters letting our soldiers know how they felt.
He hopes to get 600 letters in the next couple weeks.
After he found a place to work out his frustrations, Matt started doing better in school too.
