A couple was arrested at a Marshfield day care while children were being cared for at JoJo's Playland.

It's an alarming arrest for authorities. The two arrests came Monday when police executed a search warrant at a trailer court on Peach Avenue in Marshfield.

The department's drug sniffing K-9 uncovered the 17 grams of cocaine and 10 grams of marijuana in the bedroom of the trailer. Police estimate the drugs have a value of about $2,500.

Jolie Kenyon, 35, and her roommate, Scott Bowden, 35, each face multiple felony drug charges for possession with intent to deliver. They are also charged with operating a drug house. Kenyon's daycare was shut down by authorities. It marks the first closure of a certified day care by authorities in Wood County.

Marshfield Police Chief Joseph Stroik says the children inside the day care during the arrests were removed and cared for by authorities until they could be placed with family.

Bowden faces a $15,000 cash bond and Kenyon is held on a $10,000 bond. Their next hearing date has not yet been set.

The couple faces additional drug charges from a November 2002 search warrant by Wood County drug investigators.
