WHITEHALL, Wis. (AP) -- A 32-year-old Trempealeau woman is dead after a motorcycle accident this weekend caused by a turkey flying across the road.

The turkey struck the motorcycle windshield of the bike driven by 32-year-old Travis Ritter with Kellie Ritter riding with him on Saturday.

Authorities say that Ritter lost control of the motorcycle and crashed, ejecting the Ritters.
