MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The new MillerCoors brewing company has picked downtown Chicago -- not Milwaukee or Golden, Colorado -- as the site for its headquarters.
But the company also says it will invest $50 million to increase production at its Milwaukee brewery, where Miller now has its headquarters.
And it plans to pour another $100 million into the Golden plant, where Coors is based.
Governor Jim Doyle says he's disappointed Milwaukee isn't in the running to be the new headquarters.
He says the state is still committed to the company and will work to make sure Milwaukee is always the home of Miller beer.
