MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A 25-year-old Madison man has died after he was shot at an after-bar party behind a commercial property on the city's south side.

Authorities say the shooting happened early Saturday.

Madison Police Chief Mike Koval says officers found a man lying on the street with gunshot wounds, and a crowd of people at the scene. Police hadn't made an arrest by Saturday afternoon, but they had their eyes on a suspect.

Police believe the victim and suspect knew each other.

The victim's identity hasn't been released.
