Money is tight these days, especially for non-profit groups relying on donations to help them, help others.
In just a matter of weeks, one in our area will be awarded a $25,000 endowment fund. The money will come from the Community Foundation. In all, 25 non-profits, including the Boys and Girls Club of Wausau, the Marathon County Historical Society, and the Neighbors' Place. But the public will help choose who's most deserving by voting online.
"Our non-profit community does so much work each and every day I don't think people realize the work that they're doing," says Jean Tehan, the Executive Director of the Community Foundation.
You have until September 17th to vote. The winner will be chosen on September 25th at the Grand Theater.
