"Hair-raising" Fundraiser in Abbotsford
A penny may only be worth one cent, but for the last three weeks at Abbotsford High School, the penny had much more worth. That's thanks to the school senate-sponsored "Penny War" to benefit leukemia and lymphoma. Reporter: Patrick Dailey |

The students met their monetary goal, and as a consequence some of the teachers had to put their hairstyles at the mercy of the students.
Student Senate Officer Andrew Frank says, "They know it's for a great cause, so I know they will get made fun of a lot in school, so they have been great about it though."
The students raised almost $1,000 which will go directly to members of their local community who are battling leukemia and lymphoma.
A local Kwik Trip donated another $500, bringing the total close to $1,500.
