HUDSON, Wis. (AP) -- It's a women-only forum day for John McCain in northwestern Wisconsin.
The Republican presidential candidate and his wife, Cindy, are trying to bolster his support among women in one of the midwestern states viewed as a battleground between him and Democrat Barack Obama.
McCain visited a campaign office in St. Paul, Minnesota, yesterday. He spent the night in St. Paul before heading to nearby Hudson today. He's also expected to stop in Eau Claire.
McCain told The Associated Press in Michigan yesterday that he supports the Great Lakes compact that's now been approved by all eight states bordering the lakes. The compact is designed to protect the water of the Great Lakes from being shipped elsewhere.
Obama also supports to the compact.
