Female POW Raises Fears

The 724th has been working 18 hour days preparing for their deployment overseas. Even though they haven't had much time to watch war coverage, everybody knew the story of Private Jessica Lynch.

PFC Lynch is the POW who was rescued from an Iraqi hospital. She was captured when her convoy took a wrong turn and was ambushed.

Many women in the 724th say they feel a certain relationship with Lynch because they are women. But they say the thought of becoming a POW is just one more worry they don't need right now.

While they have some fear, they say it won't distract from their duties as a soldier.
