The woman who may be a witness in the murder of Christine Rudy makes her initial court appearance.

Eighteen-year-old Heather Teschler is facing felony and misdemeanor charges.

The criminal complaint says Teschler withheld information from authorities and harbored a felon, Christine’s husband Shaun.

Shaun Rudy is accused of killing Christine and their unborn child.

Teschler is pleading not guilty to obstructing an officer. She already faces a 10-year prison term on a burglary charge in Iowa where police say she and the couple broke into a home.

A gun reported stolen in that break-in is believed to be the murder weapon.

Police believe Teschler may have seen Shaun shoot Christine. Her bail is set at $10,000.
