LITTLE CHUTE, Wis. (AP) -- A 32-year-old Outagamie County woman who was driving a motorcycle for the first time has died after she crashed into another vehicle.
Police say Shannon Hough of Little Chute was pronounced dead at a hospital following the crash, which was reported Saturday at 8:45 p.m.
Authorities say Hough wasn't wearing a helmet.
Police say Hough and her boyfriend recently bought the motorcycle, and he was teaching her to drive it.
Fox Valley Metro Police Lt. Mark Ulman says she apparently lurched back when the motorcycle started, causing her to pull on the throttle. The motorcycle kept speeding up until it hit the other vehicle.
