A 40-year-old Kenosha man accused of killing his girlfriend during an argument and leaving her body in the trunk of a car is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday to learn if his case will head to trial.
Matthew McDowell remains in the Kenosha County Jail on a $350,000 cash bond.
According to WITI-TV, the body of Erin Ziemendorf, 30, was found in the trunk of a car near a Greyhound bus station in Chicago on October 27.
Court documents obtained by WITI state the argument was over their relationship and money.
A Medical Examiner determined Ziemendorf’s cause of death to be blunt neck trauma — and has ruled her death a homicide.
McDowell reportedly turned himself into police.
