The 22nd annual Gus Macker tournament returns to Wausau this weekend. Roughly 400 teams have registered for 3-on-3 basketball tournament.
Organizers says thanks to the nice weather, set up is already ahead of scheduled.
The tournament is held on the grounds of Newman Catholic High School and Wausau West High School.
The event is anticipated to bring 4,000 to 5,000 spectators and players.
2013 Scheduled of events:
Noon – 7 p.m. : Player registration at Newman High School Commons
6 p.m. : Mandatory meeting for Gus Buster in the Newman gym
7:30 a.m. - noon: Player registration in Newman High School Commons
8 a.m. : Opening ceremony at Top Men's Court
9 a.m. : Media Deivsion starts at Wausau Avenue
6 p.m.: Slam dunk contest at Center Court (Top Men's)
8 a.m.: Championship Sunday begins
Noon: Awards presentation when divisions are completed
