12 Brands of Dehumidifiers Recalled Due to Fire Hazards

Gree, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, announced a recall on dehumidifiers manufactured by Gree Electric Appliances of China and were sold from January 2005 through August 2013.

The dehumidifiers can overheat, smoke and catch fire, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers.

This recall involves select 20, 25, 30, 40, 45, 50, 65 and 70-pint dehumidifiers with brand names Danby, De'Longhi, Fedders, Fellini, Frigidaire, Gree, Kenmore, Norpole, Premiere, Seabreeze, SoleusAir and SuperClima.

Consumers should immediately turn off and unplug the dehumidifiers and register their information below or contact Gree at 1-866-853-2802 to receive a full refund.
