A 22-year-old Sun Prairie woman was arrested by a Madison Police Officer over the weekend after she's accused of taunting a K-9 officer.

The officer said she was responding to a call in Madison and left the K9 in the squad. According to WMTV-TV, the officer could hear the K-9 Officer, named Slim, barking, and came back to find the woman putting her face close to Slim's.

The officer says the woman cupped her hands on each side of her face and was barking at Slim.

The officer told the suspect, Victoria Patterson, that it is a crime to harass a police dog and arrested her.

The officer told WMTV-TV she routinely parks downtown while responding to calls, and this was the first time in two years that someone has repeatedly taunted Slim.
